Who We Are

The University of Hawai‘i School of Architecture Alumni Association (currently known as UHSA*3) is a registered 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization that has proudly supported the School of Architecture’s (SOA) alumni ‘ohana by fostering and facilitating social, collegial, and professional ties between the school, its graduates, friends, and supporters since 1991. All SOA graduates are part of the alumni ‘ohana whether one started their journey from the current building near University Avenue and Metcalf Street, the portables (at the East-West Center parking lot or SOA’s current location), or from the Art Department when the school was just formed.

UHSA*3 is also a chapter of the overall University of Hawai‘i Alumni Association (UHAA). It is an international network of alumni chapters and members whose collective goal is to promote and support the University of Hawai‘i by connecting alumni and friends with the university and with each other, strengthening stakeholder relationships in the community, and inspiring pride among the University of Hawai‘i ‘ohana.

Being an alumnus or alumnae means being a part of a tradition of memories, family, support, and sharing career roots. It is a thread we all share. We should be proud of where we come from and UHSA*3 works hard for the good of SOA. UHSA*3 believes in tradition, integrity, service, diversity, and innovation. The school has maintained annual traditions such as the Pumpkin, Gingerbread, and Sandcastle Esquisses, while continuously working with other allied organizations in the AEC community. As UHM and UHSA*3 alumni, there is a lot to be proud about.

A lot of UHSA*3’s efforts could not have been accomplished without the efforts of dedicated volunteers and community supporters like you. Everyone at UHSA*3 hopes you will be a part of our organization and to join us in fulfilling our mission. We always welcome new members whether you simply want to receive updates about the school, volunteer/participate in one of our many events, or serve on the board. Whether you are a new or veteran alumni, supporter, or friend, we are truly grateful for your interest and support. Mahalo nui loa for being a part of UHSA*3.
